Tile Repair and Install

Ceramic tile offers unlimited decorating possibilities and it comes in a wide selection of colors, sizes, and shapes. Ceramic tile is a natural product made up of clay, a number of other naturally-occurring minerals and water.

Glazed ceramic tile is a popular choice for your interior floors and walls. A properly installed ceramic tile will out perform and outlast nearly any other floor covering product created for the same application. It resists stains, odors, and dirt can be cleaned up with a damp mop and common household cleaners. Ceramic tile doesn’t burn or emit toxic fumes and hot kitchen pans will not scorch or melt the surfaced. Most glazed ceramics have a dense body that permits little or no accumulation of moisture. This means spills from common liquids found in a kitchen are not a big concern. Through-body porcelain tiles have the same colors all the way through from front to the back of the tile. The color will not change if they are chipped or scratched.

Glazed porcelain tiles are similar to glazed ceramic tiles. They have a design layer (glaze) on top of the tile body that is a different color and will be noticeable if chipped.

True porcelain tiles have a 0.5% or less water absorption rate, making these tiles freeze-thaw stable. This is why porcelain tiles can be used outdoors in exterior settings, as well as indoors. Porcelain tiles are formed under extremely high pressure and fired at very high temperatures making much denser and stronger than glazed ceramic tiles.

Natural Stone vary in type and are of distinct beauty. Each stone has its own unique visual appearance. Unlike glazed ceramics, stone does not have a protective glazed coating on top and the color goes all the way through.
